EU-MIND 2024 – A Successful First Edition in Caen

The inaugural edition of EU-MIND (European Meeting on Imaging in Neurodegeneration) took place in Caen, France, in September 2024, hosted at Le Dôme. This first event was a great success, confirming the strong interest and need for a dedicated European meeting in the field of neuroimaging and neurodegenerative diseases.

EU-MIND 2024 brought together a vibrant and diverse community of researchers, clinicians, and early-career scientists from across Europe. The conference featured:

  • 30 invited speakers from leading European institutions
  • About 180 participants from 15 countries
  • 9 scientific awards recognizing outstanding oral and poster presentations : 2 travel awards for Yasmine Salman and Lara Huyghe, 3 datablitz awards for Yasmine Salman, Wiesje Pelkmans, and Arabella Bouzigues, and 4 poster awards for Léa Chauveau, Marina Bluma, Mariola Zapater-Fajari, and Célia Soussi
  • 40+ poster presentations and 16 datablitz oral communications selected from abstract submissions

Initiated by Gaël Chételat, Julie Gonneaud, and Robin de Flores from the Inserm Neuropresage Lab (Caen, France) and co-founded by the Fondation Alzheimer, EU-MIND 2024 successfully laid the foundations for a recurring event driven by values of collaboration, diversity, and scientific excellence.
